Fright Factory

Fright Factory is an indoor haunted attraction in Philadelphia. It boasts over 25,000 square feet of space in a building that is over 100 years old, and this is one of the few places open rain or shine!
Sometimes when reviewing attractions, we need to keep location in mind. Indoor, major city haunted attractions are limited by space, among other things. They did make up for this in part by having some nicely costumed characters outside of the Haunt, interacting with patrons in full character. This is something we always appreciate!
The acting was very impressive, though it could have benefited from more actors. And although the make-up was very well done, we felt the masks were lacking in completing the illusion. Fright Factory has some very impressive props, halograms, and lighting effects. We did wish that the plywood walls were decorated more thoroughly, again, to complete the illusion.
At $34 a ticket, we felt the 20 minute walk-through haunt was not worth the cost and 90 minute drive... However, there is wiggle room in the price if you plan ahead. Tickets are less expensive earlier in the night, and cheaper when purchased online. They also sell discount vouchers, so do your research!
All in all, with a few minor tweaks, we see a lot of potential for a great haunt here. We suggest making this part of a Philadelphia experience, and grabbing a cheesesteak afterwards!
