Hotel of Horror 2014

The HRC visited the Pocono mountains for one of their longest running haunted attractions, Hotel of Horror. They have two main attractions. Every year the themes change and they put on a new show. As far as value goes, the price gets you two haunts and for a small additional amount you'll have a tour of a small museum with twisted old school medical and funeral items and much more. The first attraction we did was the Hotel of Horror. The scenes were elaborately decorated. They have a lot of space in each room. We got a few good scares in there but last year the actors tried to interact with the guests a bit more. It seemed this year they didn't have as many actors in there as last. A few rooms lacked scares or people to keep you engaged in the show. One of our favorite scenes was once again the chapel upstairs. There is a real shock in there. Altered nightmares was the majority favorite this year. The teddy bear scene almost gave a few a heart attack. Overall, this place has some of the most realistic make up we've seen. The actors really take pride in scaring you and trying to entertain. Even the gentleman who took our tickets for altered nightmares was memorable. Shout out to Bacon Bit for being a creepy little dude! We had a good time this year and look forward to seeing what HoH comes up with in coming years. Be sure to try the frozen hot chocolate. It was down right amazing. They have a small coffee and concession stand outside of the attraction to grab it! Thanks Hotel of Horror for another fun night. We gave it 8.5 this year.
